Sepidar Yeganeh Farid – “ARTEMIS / NIOBE”

Sepidar was born in Iran and raised in Turkey. She immigrated with her family to Montreal as an adolescent. Graduated with a degree in Psychology and Drama from St. Mary’s University, Sepidar is currently completing her MSc in Counselling Psychology.  

Sepidar’s work as an artist involves acting, singing, and writing. Select stage credits include The Green Line (Downstage & Chromatic) inVISIBLE and Uprooted (Handsome Alice Theatre) and The New Canadian Curling Club (Alberta Theatre Projects). She has participated in the development of new plays in workshops and staged readings including Scope and My Hands Were Made for This (Lunchbox Theatre).  

Sepidar strongly believes in the link between creativity and wellbeing. As a mental health worker, she has been diligently supporting vulnerable populations and advocating for social justice initiatives. Further, she regards art as a powerful channel to represent the diversity of the voices in our communities and she is a campaigner of the celebration of these stories.
